形容詞に -er を付けると比較級（より～）、-est を付けると最上級（最も～）になる。短い語はそのまま付ける（例: small → smaller → smallest）。語尾が e なら -r / -st だけ付ける。子音 + y で終わる場合は y を i に変えてから付ける。
Add -er to a quality-word to say something has more of that quality, and -est to say it has the most. For short words, add the ending directly (e.g., small → smaller → smallest). If the word ends in e, just add -r or -st. If it ends in y after a consonant, change y to i before adding -er or -est.
